Cox Media Group Birmingham is currently looking for a program director to report directly to the GM.

Program Director job duties as follows:

- Responsible for the total sound of the radio station.

- Flawless execution of the SAP.

- Responsible for 1 live on air announcing shift per day, 6 day work week.

- Maintain the concept and image of the radio station.

- Ensure radio station is in compliance with FCC rules and regulations.

- Hiring and training station personnel.

- Working with sales to achieve revenue goals.

- Working with promotions to achieve marketing goals.

- Incorporate the radio station in the community and address the needs and concerns of the community.

Ideal candidates must have a proven track record of ratings successes. Engaging on air personality, minimum of 10 years of radio experience, superior people skills and excellent computer skills; experience with Wide Orbit automation and/or Music Master helpful.

Cox Media Group Birmingham is currently looking for a full time Digital Content Producer. This is an entry level position. Duties involve making sure that the station web sites are updated daily with informative and entertaining news. Candidate will maintain the web sites according to our corporate A&B parameters and best practices, update the programming and promotion department as to content on web site, make sure that the homepage is updated as well as the personality pages including on air features, survey’s polls, creating bridge pages for sales, adding pod casts from morning shows to audio pages on sites, managing a jock blog and vlog schedule. Keeping the online calendars updated with current information on events happening in the city and keeping the “best bets” updated and current, adding pictures from events to web sites photo pages and pushed back through social media managing station email databases and newsletter campaigns. Manage station social media assets, including Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and others. Candidate must be proficient in video editing and photography. Ideal candidate will be proficient in mobile platforms and be able to push out hourly notifications through CMS platform. Candidate will also work on incorporating text messaging to our news, traffic and contesting into overall digital assets. Candidates must be detail oriented and able to meet all deadlines. Qualifications:

A minimum of two years full time on-air radio experience required: strong production and brainstorming skills a must. Must have confidence and temperament to meet and interact daily with listeners and clients on the phone and at public events.
